This is a 1500mm long x 100mm high drawer blank made from 11mm thick 7 layer veneer faced plywood for extra stability.

General Information : -

100 & 140mm high blanks are available which are compatible with the 3000 drawer system and allow for the construction of non-standard size drawers. The blank is grooved to accept a 4mm plywood base - a 1500 x 500 drawer bottom is available from PWS (DB15).

Assembly: -
Cut blank to required lengths drill and insert dowels to front and back pieces . 8 x 30mm dowels available from PWS (DW4).
Pre-drill and countersink the front element with drawer front fixing holes before assembly. To assemble squeeze a little glue into the holes in one of the side panels. Push the dowels on the ends of the front and back into the holes ensuring that the grooves face inwards and the finished top edges of the drawer all face the same way. Squeeze a little glue into the grooves in the side front and back slide the base into the grooves making sure its finished side is facing upwards. Squeeze glue into the holes and groove on the remaining side and then push onto the dowels in the front and back taking care that the base enters the groove in the side. The assembly should be clamped until completely dry and any surplus glue removed with a damp cloth before it dries.

Installation: -
Normal screw fix bottom mounting runners can be used. The use of adjustable fitting DA6310 is recommended as it allows 3mm adjustment in any direction. This fitting is pushed into a 25mm diameter/12.5mm deep hole in the drawer front. The drawer front is then mounted onto the drawer using M4 screws (supplied). Once the drawer front is positioned accurately the M4 screws can be tightened to clamp the two parts firmly together.
Alternatively simply fix the drawer front with screws through the front part of the drawer box. Another method of fixing is to use self-adhesive pads securing firmly with a longer M4 chipboard screw (M4X40) through the drawer and drawer front to clamp tight.
